Are You Ready?

So, do you think you are ready to Break the Cycle? Nice. It is by no means an easy road to travel, but Jesus can help you get rid of the sin that you are in bondage to so you can “walk in freedom” with Him. All it takes, is for you to make a choice that you don’t want to be involved in the junk that has been destroying you anymore and instead, give your life to God. In other words, it’s time to start your relationship with the Lord. And why should you want that?

Simple. That’s why we were created – to spend all of eternity with our creator.

And guess what? Eternity begins right now. Ya, it’s true – the joy of knowing God starts now. When you make the decision to follow Christ, He promises to be with you from here on out. The Bible says that you become a child of God.

John 1:12 – “Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”

Sound good? Are you ready to have a relationship with God – your creator – your Heavenly Father? You can do that now. It’s this simple:

First: Realize you are a sinner… the Bible says none of us are good enough and we can’t earn our way to heaven.

Romans 3:10 – “As the scriptures say: No one is good, not even one.”

Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned and fall short of God’s glorious standard.”
John 6:63 – “It is the Holy Spirit that gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing.

Second: Acknowledge that Jesus died on the cross for you.

Romans 5:8 – “But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”

Third: Be willing to turn from your sin and change direction. Instead of running from God…run toward Him. The Bible calls this repentance.

Acts 3:19 – “Now turn from your sins and turn to God, so you can be cleansed of your sins.”

Fourth: Ask Jesus to come into your life as your friend, Savior and Lord

Rev 3:20 – “ Look! Here I stand at the door (of your heart) and knock. If you hear me calling and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal as friends.

So what do you say? Are you ready to ask Jesus to forgive you of your sin, become your Savior and help you break the cycle of destruction in your life?

If so, you can pray a prayer like this:

Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I know that you died on the cross for my sins and then rose again from the dead. I need your help and forgiveness in my life. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and give you my life. I want you to be Lord and Master. Jesus I fully surrender to you.

If you prayed that prayer (or one of your own kinda like that) and you were serious, you are a new creation and have eternal life!

2 Corinthians 5:17 – “What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!
